Overview The Intersect Group is partnered with our direct client in Dallas who is in search of an Electrical Engineer. Direct Hire. Location: Dallas 75225 (near Dallas North Tollway and Northwest Highway). Schedule: onsite 5 days a week.

Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Define project scope and objectives: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate broad business goals into detailed, actionable project plans.

Project development: Contribute to specifications, drawing production, cable schedules, loop sheets, and material take-offs. Develop preliminary concepts for underground power feeds and single-line diagrams. Manage contractors performing power studies.

Contract oversight: Partner with the Legal team during contract negotiations and ensure timely execution, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

Project execution: Oversee third-party contracts to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

OEM management: Maintain strong working relationships with electrical gear suppliers and third-party contractors.

Program reporting: Lead the development and tracking of reporting matrices and KPIs throughout all phases of the project, specifically for the electrical scope.

Qualifications

5-10 years of experience in the heavy industrial market. Preference for experience as a consultant within an engineering firm that also provides construction services.

Experience with FEED studies, including development and review of electrical power studies from substation to consumer, and cost estimate input/review.

Proficiency in duct bank, grounding, and electrical room design/layout.

Expertise in cable scheduling, sizing, and cable tray layout.

Specification and procurement experience with transformers, switchgear, VFDs, rheostats, MV and LV motors.

Ability to review and lead single-line diagrams and loop sheets.

Strong project management skills focused on electrical scope; experience leading or managing technical teams; ability to conduct inspections and arc flash studies.

High-level understanding of manufacturing processes for cement, wallboard, and paper.

Mentorship capabilities for junior engineers or technical staff; schedule development and resource management (internal and third-party); project commissioning activities.

Excellent communication, status reporting, meeting facilitation, and action tracking; highly organized and self-directed.
