Job Description Seeking a Mechanical Field Superintendent. This individual will work with our project management team and our subcontractors to manage day-to-day site activities, drive field execution, and ensure alignment with project schedule, safety standards, quality expectations, and design intent. The Field Superintendent plays a critical leadership role, directing trade partners, supervisors, and field staff across multiple scopes in a complex mission-critical environment. The position requires experience in managing high-volume structural, CSA, and MEP scopes in parallel with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively resolve coordination issues in the field. This position will be fully at the project site near Amarillo, Texas. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

Oversee and coordinate all field construction activities, including civil, structural, architectural and MEP trades, collaborating closely with project engineers, construction managers, building superintendents and other field superintendents.

Direct the daily work of multiple subcontractors and ensure compliance with design, specifications, and schedules.

Drive execution of short-interval plans and look ahead schedules; ensure alignment with the overall master schedule.

Monitor field productivity, identify constraints, and implement corrective measures to maintain momentum.

Lead daily supervisor coordination meetings, trade walks, and safety briefings.

Ensure strict adherence to project-specific safety protocols and participate in safety audits and incident investigations.

Monitor field installations for quality, adherence to design, and compliance with building codes and specifications.

Collaborate with QA/QC teams to coordinate inspections, punch lists, and system turnover milestones.

Support commissioning efforts by ensuring system readiness and trade participation in functional testing.

Maintain daily field reports, progress photos and as-built documentation.

Communicate progress, constraints, and labor status to the Building Superintendent.

Review and provide feedback on RFIs, submittals, cost estimates, and construction documentation as it relates to field conditions.

Provide resolution to design and constructability issues.

Respond to client requests and/or issues and develop resolution to problems using technical expertise.

Interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with all local authority permitting, codes, and site specifications.

Facilitate contractor activity ensuring performance to all contractual agreements.

Assist with management of project staffing.

Provide clear communication, verbally, written, and electronically.

Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.

Salary Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $145,600.00

Qualifications We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:

Professional Experience and Education

Minimum 5 years' construction field supervision experience required, with at least 3 years on hyperscale or mission-critical data center projects preferred.

Deep understanding of construction means and methods, trade sequencing, and commissioning workflows.

Proven experience managing concurrent scopes involving structural steel, large-scaled MEP systems, generator yards, duct banks, and underground and overhead utilities is preferred.

OSHA 30 Certification.

High School diploma or GED required.

Bachelor of science in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, construction management or equivalent degree and/or equivalent craft level work experience.

Position Related Skills

Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential to maintain a cooperative attitude under pressure.

Ability to manage several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions.

Proficiency in ready design and construction documents including drawings, schedules, and specifications. Understanding of survey theory and techniques.

Advanced visual observation and interpretation skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work closely with clients, architects, engineers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Team player, self-starter, flexible and able to work with diverse personalities with minimal instruction. Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.

Strong working knowledge of project management and scheduling software such as Procore and Primavera P6.

Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Standing/Walking/Sitting: combination of stationary and mobility on the work location.

Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.

Must be able to climb stairs, ascend/descend ladders, scaffold, and inspect confined or underground spaces.

Hands/Arms: operating a computer and office machinery; manual handling of materials.

Vision: close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus; ability to safely operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license.

Hearing: ability to work near loud equipment; may require hearing protection.

Speech: clear English communication of plans, regulations, and procedures.

Lift/Carry: ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry/push distances as required.

Bending/Twisting; Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling as needed to inspect work.

Ability to access all areas and levels of construction site; flexible schedule for extended hours or off-shift work.
