Part-Time Lecturer Pool - Electrical Engineering (AY 25/26) Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice. The Electrical Engineering Department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, seeks part-time to nearly full-time lecturer positions for the 2025-2026 academic year to teach undergraduate and graduate Electrical Engineering courses. Appointments are made from a pool of approved applicants based on need and funding. Anticipated needs include digital design, electric circuit analysis, electronics, electric power systems, and communication systems. Candidates with extensive industry experience are encouraged to apply. Education
Initial rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background as determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. preferred. Experience working with diverse populations and fostering an inclusive environment; relevant work experience and professional capabilities. The position is a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and requires compliance with CSU Executive Order 1083. Following a conditional offer, a background check must be completed satisfactorily before start. Current employees offered on-campus positions may also require a background check where applicable. Cal Poly is smoke and tobacco-free. Cal Poly will not sponsor an H-1B for this position. CSU policy on out-of-state employment applies and on-campus presence is expected.
