Description
This position is an on-call position only. Under general supervision, the incumbent must understand concepts of the physics of ultrasound, demonstrates working knowledge of echocardiographic procedures, cardiac anatomy, complex congenital abnormalities and physiology with a thorough understanding of cardiac abnormalities and disease processes for pediatric and adult congenital patients. Independently follows established imaging protocols and modify the examination accordingly to ensure complete accurate high quality cardiac echo information is obtained. Perform diagnostic recordings, accurate measurements and calculations of echocardiography images and Doppler hemodynamic data with or without contrast agents. Contributes to work organization and scheduling as a member of a self-directed work team. Participates in the training of students, residents and fellows in echocardiography. Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Medical Sonography program or equivalent years of experience.
ARDMS or CCI.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)(AE) or (PE)or RCS or RCCS.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Two years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of sonography education and experience.
Experience performing Neonatal echocardiography.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year minimum Neonatal echocardiography. Recent hospital experience as Cardiac Sonographer. Congenital heart disease experience preferred. Special Conditions
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment Required to take call after hours and/or on weekends. Floats to labs in other clinic locations as needed. Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $141,525 - $141,525 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $67.78 - $67.78 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
