Overview

The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Baltimore VA Medical Center is seeking an experienced physician to expand our clinical endocrinology enterprise at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. Clinical responsibilities are expected to be primarily at the VA, with clinical services at one affiliated site also expected. Opportunities are available for research and are encouraged. Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher; final rank and salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications. Responsibilities

Provide clinical endocrinology services primarily at the Baltimore VA Medical Center; contribute clinical services at an affiliated site as needed. Engage in research opportunities and participate in scholarly activities. Teach and supervise trainees as part of a supportive medical education environment. Salary and Benefits

Expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $169,988 (min) to $260,000 (max). Salary reflects base pay based on rank and years in rank and does not include all components of the compensation program. Actual compensation may vary. Medical degree from an accredited domestic or foreign-equivalent institution. Board eligibility or certification in Endocrinology. Eligible for an unrestricted license in Maryland. US citizenship required because the position is funded in part by the VA Medical Center.
