CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with eight or more years of experience in Consulting Engineering. This candidate must have a strong and innovative technical background in Mechanical Engineering. This position will work with a team of engineers and other consultants/design team members to design the electrical aspects of energy efficient buildings for various clients as well as complex infrastructure projects. Lead and guide design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors. Provide guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers. Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication. Lead and guide meetings as needed. Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks. Confer with other engineers and personnel to implement operation procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design, research, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements. Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements. Research and analyze clients design requirements, manuals, and data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents. Qualifications
8+ years of experience with MEP design Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required Experience with internal and external project management Experience in MEP design and specifications Experience with managing, maintaining and creating Owner and Architect relationships Experience with Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial market sectors Experience with Revit/AutoCAD Desired Skills
