Position Summary: ROWE is looking for a Roadway Senior Project Engineer to join our team. Senior Project Engineers work on teams with Project Managers in a group environment on a diverse range of projects, providing leadership to staff with varied experience. This role will contribute to growing our Design Services Division. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities
Function as task leader on various transportation engineering projects. Direct and perform engineering tasks, provide quality control, and produce project deliverables for State and County transportation clients. Manage project teams, schedules, and budgets for various projects. Assist in developing and executing work plans for completing tasks and projects. Apply specialized technical expertise on a broad range of design tasks related to transportation projects. Assist the Senior Project Manager or Project Manager in developing work scopes, budgets, and staff assignments. Maintain project records and documentation. Maintain current knowledge of MDOT design technology, practices, and procedures. Interact with other engineering disciplines and integrate their work products. Provide direction, supervision, and training to junior staff. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Michigan Professional Engineer License. Minimum of 10 years of MDOT design experience. Expert in MicroStation and OpenRoads. Strong understanding of MDOT schedules, procedures and design requirements. Experience in freeway and non-freeway road design, including interchanges. Experience developing MOT plans, signing and pavement marking—MDOT plans a plus. Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical/judgement capabilities, and ability to work independently or on a team. Ability to work remotely and in person effectively. Why Work Here
