Sales District Manager, Toast Retail

Toast . Toast is expanding into new food and beverage concepts such as convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. This role supports the Toast Retail platform as we grow Toast’s presence in this vertical. You will report to a Director of Retail Sales and will hire, build, and coach a team of Retail Territory Account Executives who work to transform how grocers and retailers operate. You’ll collaborate with the product and sales teams to tailor solutions for Retail operators. This is a remote opportunity with travel up to 35% of the time. Hire, develop, motivate, and manage a quota-achieving sales team Coach your team through a full cycle sales process, including discovery, live demos, and crafting solution proposals Lead field activities (walk-ins, prospecting, trade shows, local partnerships) to exceed quotas Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to ensure delivery aligns with sales expectations Utilize Salesforce and other tools to drive productivity, forecast pipelines, and analyze conversion rates Be accountable for new business growth across the assigned district Requirements
5+ years of sales experience in sourcing and/or closing roles 3+ years of leadership experience Proven track record of success Strong ability to inspire and motivate others Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, creative, flexible, and able to perform under pressure Nice to have
Experience building customer-facing, quota-achieving full cycle sales teams Experience in a tech environment Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments Experience in a retail environment Proven track record of creating a high-performing culture Bread puns encouraged but not required Compensation and Benefits
The estimated Total Targeted Cash compensation range is $181,000—$290,000 USD, consisting of base salary, commission, benefits, and equity (if eligible). This role qualifies for uncapped commissions.
