This person will be located in either the San Diego or San Marcos California offices.
Target Annual Salary: $70,000-$85,000 with a 30% commission bonus plan and car allowance. (Base + Bonus is $91,000 - $110,500)

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for managing the sales process and driving profitable sales growth within an assigned sales territory to existing Airgas customers. The AM will be required to meet and exceed both corporate and regional objectives for profitable sales growth, A/R management, and customer retention within their assigned territory. Develops and executes sales plans utilizing Airgas’s sales directives and guidelines in order to service existing accounts, obtain orders, and onboard new accounts. Cultivates customer relationships by developing a deep knowledge of the customer’s business and establishing a consultative relationship. Executes on price management initiatives Ensures transaction accuracy Onboards new business by partnering with respective business development team Maintains customer relationships and schedules routine business reviews Creates account specific strategies on wallet share growth and retention Connects customers to various Airgas resources to maximize value creation Drives improved adoption and utilization of Airgas.com/ebusiness Ensures Airgas is engaged with customer success and expansion Identifies and manages mode changes, engaging appropriate specialist to identify and manage processes Maintains opportunities and contacts data & logs various sales activities inside Salesforce Keeps current with industry insights, current Airgas product mixes, monitors competition by gathering current relevant marketplace including information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques. Partners with internal resources to accomplish growth objectives. Actively reviews and manages existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to help minimize Airgas working capital investment and financial risk. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 3 years of prior outside business-to-business sales experience Demonstrated history of managing customers throughout a defined sales territory Previous experience demonstrating high level cold calling abilities Strong PC Skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite) Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred Previous industrial manufacturing sales experience highly preferred SAP experience preferred Seniority level
