Responsibilities In collaboration with the radiation oncologist and medical physicist, use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop, generate, and evaluate treatment plans using computer software and manual calculations based on prescribed target region and avoidance dose criteria. Must be able to generate radiation therapy treatment plans in a timely manner using computer software and various imaging modalities, demonstrating strong attention to detail. Must be able to adapt to ever-changing technology and be open to learning new systems and techniques. Must be able to perform routine duties independent of supervision but consult with the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist as required. Must be able to consult and communicate with the therapists regarding the implementation of the treatment plan including: the correct use of immobilization devices, field arrangement, and other treatment variables. Must be able to perform or supervise the design and fabrication of immobilization devices, beam modifying devices and treatment planning aids. Strong experience with Varian LINACs, Eclipse TPS, ARIA, IMSure, RadCalc, EZFluence, ClearCheck, AutoContour, and MiM Software are a plus. Qualifications Credentials as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) preferred. Two years of experience with Eclipse TPS preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficient in planning VMAT, IMRT, SBRT/SRT, and 3D plans. Prior work in a Varian linear accelerator environment a plus. This is a
