Overview
The CT Tech/CT Technologist performs CT examinations according to physician orders, utilizing sophisticated CT equipment and considering individual patients' special or age-related needs. Uses knowledge and judgment regarding imaging factors, imaging technique, and patient treatment needed to produce optimal images. Responsibilities
Perform CT examinations following physician orders and ensure optimal imaging quality. Account for patient age-related and special needs in imaging approaches. Apply appropriate imaging factors and techniques based on patient condition to achieve diagnostic-quality images. Qualifications
Education to meet certification, license or registration requirements. Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. Upon hire: Oregon Medical Imaging License from Oregon State Board. Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography (ARRT) or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT). Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography or National Computed Tommetry Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
