Job Summary and Responsibilities: The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for knowing their professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code and for satisfactorily completing the Dignity Health Medical Foundation orientation period, demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance. Radiologic Technologists maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment and perform patient care services that support the physician/provider’s practice under the supervision of radiologists, other licensed staff and Management. This includes assisting in prepping patients for radiologic examinations, relaying instructions from the radiologist to a patient or authorized person, collecting patient data, documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient’s medical record for the radiologist review, and performing diagnostic medical imaging. May be required to work in other modalities with possession of appropriate licensure. May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.
Responsibilities

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent Formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent AMA Technologist program completion Must be licensed by the State of California in CRT BLS Certification through the American Heart Association Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills Knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging, operation and care of radiology diagnostic equipment, and radiation safety Ability to understand the impact of decisions on patient relationships, outcomes, physician efficiency, resources, and community image Internal/External Contacts: Patients, physicians and other clinic staff, hospital staff, patient family members and vendors Supervision: Reports to the department Chief Technologist/Manager; does not supervise others
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist (preferred) Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment (preferred) Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS (preferred) ARRT Certification
