Overview

This is a full-time Nursing Director of Med Surg position at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida. The 235-bed acute care hospital is owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. Wellington Regional Medical Center has provided high quality healthcare services to Palm Beach County since 1986 and is accredited by The Joint Commission. Responsibilities

Responsible for the 24-hour management and oversight of the Surgical/Orthopedic inpatient nursing department and any other assigned areas to ensure the facility meets all regulatory, state and corporate standards. Demonstrates effective leadership and professional judgment in planning, implementing and directing the financial and operational goals of the institution. Oversees unit/department personnel, including interviewing and hiring, ongoing evaluation of performance, educating on policies and processes, and motivating and engaging staff for high-level performance. Qualifications

Current registered nurse\'s license in the State of Florida. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification National certification in specialty area preferred 5-8 years clinical nursing experience. Minimum 5 years progressive nursing management experience BS or BSN required; MS or MSN preferred. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Outlook, Kronos, Cerner, Microsoft Office (preferred).
