Vice President-VP, Patient Care Services-Duplin About ECU Health Duplin Hospital: ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.

Position Summary: Translate strategies into actionable initiatives that enable achievement of results that align with established goals to create and sustain operational excellence for health care entities and programs. Leads the integration and provides ultimate oversight for multiyear strategies to advance the function. Works in partnership with management and physician leaders in ensuring that plans, operations and patient care are aligned with the Mission, Vision and Values. Ensures broader organizational support around identified goals, strategies, budgets, and metrics associated with the function. Ensures that policies, procedures and practices are operationalized to support safe, reliable care and fosters a continuous learning culture. Builds the organizational structure, talent, and other capabilities to implement and operate the function. Responsible for establishing, measuring, and achieving performance metrics, consistent with ECU Health expectations. Employs methods of change management to advance the organization by using tools, business processes, budget allocations and operational practices to significantly reshape ECU Health. Accountable for a positive organizational culture in conducting business, decision making and performance management to influence work attitudes and enhance job satisfaction. Provides leadership and has oversight of patient safety, quality improvement, best practice, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance. Stays current on quality and performance measures from emerging national and state requirements. Member of system management teams and functions as a key liaison between the leadership teams and physician partners and applicable governing board of the health care entities and programs.

Scope: ECU Health Duplin is an 81 bed facility and has 20 practicing physicians on its active medical staff. ECU Health Duplin serves Duplin County and surrounding communities in eastern North Carolina with a population of approximately 60,000 people. On an annual basis, it serves 3,800 inpatients and over 52,000 outpatients (including nearly 30,000 ED visits), in addition to a surgical volume of 2,050. Total operating revenue for ECU Health Duplin is $50.7 million; net patient revenue is 49.5 million.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required

Master's Degree (nursing Preferred) Required.

8-10 years progressive nursing leadership experience.

Active North Carolina (NC) Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure is required or compact state license
