About This Role: As a Medical Science Director within the Global Medical Affairs Nephrology and Transplant Department, you will spearhead the development of the scientific narrative for transplant indications including Antibody Mediated Rejection (AMR) post kidney transplant, ensuring the story aligns with unmet medical needs and the mechanism of disease. This role involves creating compelling scientific content for internal and external stakeholders, including symposia at global medical congresses and educational materials for medical teams. You will lead cross-functional working groups to foster alignment and guarantee that the content produced is purposeful and coherent. As an integral member of the Global Medical Affairs team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of our nephrology portfolio and advance our narrative in the field. Responsibilities

Lead the development of the scientific narrative across planned transplant indications, emphasizing unmet needs, disease mechanisms, and therapeutic actions. Organize and execute scientific symposia at key global medical congresses, aligning with medical objectives. Develop scientific content, aligned with the scientific platform, for use by field-based medical personnel and regional medical leads, including educational "symposia in a box." Create training materials for scientific and medical personnel, supporting onboarding and ongoing education in disease areas and therapeutic assets. Chair the scientific narrative cross-functional working group to ensure alignment across departments and the fitness of content for its intended purpose. Collaborate with clinical development leads, HEOR leads, and publication leads to develop core scientific narratives and content. Manage external medical communication vendors, including reviewing and approving statements of work (SOWs) and invoices. Navigate complex situations to maintain scientific credibility and accuracy across all content developed for external use. Ensure scientific resources are appropriate for various markets/regions, considering differing regulatory and compliance considerations. Align content development with the core scientific platform, strategic publication plan, and global medical strategy. Who You Are

You are a seasoned professional with a robust background in medical affairs and medical communications. Communication, both written and verbal, is one of your strengths, and you excel at project management. You are adept at working cross-functionally and navigating complex regulatory landscapes. Required Skills

MD, PharmD, or PhD in a relevant life science field is required. 8+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, including medical communications, is required. Proven track record in scientific content development and narrative creation. Experience leading scientific symposia and educational initiatives. Exceptional project management abilities. Strong ability to work effectively in a matrix environment. Superior scientific acumen and communication skills. Preferred Skills

Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional project management. Experience managing external vendors and overseeing project budgets. Medical communication agency experience. Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation range: $197,000.00 - $271,000.00. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach considering factors including relevant skills and experience, job location, and internal equity. Regular employees are eligible to receive short-term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, based on individual and company performance.
