Nov 07, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The School of Nursing at Stony Brook University invites/seeks applications for one 1.0 FTE academic year clinical faculty position to teach in the Undergraduate program. Women’s Health/OB experience is required to enhance curricular concepts for the Undergraduate student population. As a Clinical Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Associate Professor, you are expected to contribute to the educational, research, clinical and community service mission of the School of Nursing. The school of nursing clinical faculty are leaders in the implementation of innovative student-centered learning strategies for the development of strong clinical reasoning skills in graduates. Candidates who excel in the delivery of hybrid teaching formats and have experience in simulation learning are strongly encouraged to apply. All candidates should be prepared to pursue the Scholarship of Teaching in the development of critically reflective knowledge about teaching and learning. Such an approach emphasizes the development, testing, and dissemination of advances in both pedagogy and andragogy. Candidates at the Clinical Assistant/Clinical Associate Professor level are also expected to contribute to the tripartite mission of a major research intensive university by contributing to the research and/or practice/service mission of the university. All candidates should be prepared to mentor students as future nurse leaders, be committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion, and foster collaborative interdisciplinary learning experiences that expand student understanding of patient-centered care.
