Position: Part-time affiliate faculty teaching in Civil Engineering Technology or Architecture within the Department of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver. This is a temporary, part-time, non-tenure track (affiliate) faculty position. Screenings of applicants will occur when positions become available; not all applicants in the pool will be contacted or selected to teach. Teach part-time in Civil Engineering Technology or Architecture. Specific duties may include: Teaching assigned classes in person or online; delivering course content; Preparing course materials and lesson plans; Grading student work and providing timely, robust feedback; Addressing student questions in alignment with university, college/school, and department policies; Providing online or in-person academic support as needed; ensuring instruction aligns with the course syllabus and department policies; Participating in department course coordination policies if required; and complying with university policies for student evaluation of instruction and peer observations. Ability to adapt to new modes of instruction and sensitivity to a diverse student population is highly encouraged. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, plus four years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, plus four years of relevant experience or Doctorate. Professional Engineering License. Terms of Employment

Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per-credit-hour basis for specific classes, usually semester-by-semester. They are not eligible for University benefit coverage. All teaching assignments depend on budget and enrollment. Qualified candidates may be expected to teach in person on campus upon hire. Salary for Announcement
