Description: The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team seeks a highly skilled and versatile Principal Engagement Manager to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. You will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions, bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. You will apply AWS frameworks such as Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework, demonstrate technical credibility across stakeholders, distill customer needs into clear technical requirements, decompose complex problems, and make informed trade-off decisions considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact. Possessing strong technology and program/project management experience, you will validate technical solutions against business goals, recognize when additional technical evaluation is needed, and manage technical risks. You will be expected to achieve and maintain relevant AWS certifications, develop domain-specific expertise, and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and business audiences. You will lead increasingly complex technical projects, shape cross-organizational technical strategies, and establish best practices in your domain. You will apply your management and leadership capabilities to successfully execute project plans, proactively identify and manage risks, resolve issues, escalate when appropriate, and drive projects to successful completion while exceeding customer expectations. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team that helps customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives, providing focused guidance through our global specialty practices across various solutions, technologies, and industries. Key responsibilities

Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects Leveraging knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions, and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards Basic Qualifications

8+ years of experience in cloud computing 8+ years of experience in project management of technical programs 8+ years of experience with software development life cycle (SDLC); Waterfall/Agile/iterative methodologies Experience applying project management and agile methodologies to large, enterprise-level engagements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications

AWS experience PMP and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework Ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers Experience delivering IT and Transformation engagements for a Fortune 100 company Experience in industries such as Financial Services, Automotive, Telecommunications, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Energy, Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay ranges from $164,500/year to $284,300/year, depending on location and experience.
