The Territory Sales Manager acts as an ambassador responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers within the assigned territory. The role involves conducting face-to-face sales interactions with potential and existing customers, building trust, and supporting prospects to foster future sales. The manager is expected to provide excellent customer experiences and offer hands-on explanations of new or updated products when necessary. The ideal candidate must maintain professionalism with sincerity and enthusiasm, reflecting the organization's commitment to customers. Developing product knowledge through reading vendor materials and attending training is essential, along with staying current on promotional events and sales activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Travel within the sales territory to meet prospects and customers. Conduct daily calls and face-to-face meetings. Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers. Keep records of sales leads and customer accounts. Educate customers on product benefits. Sell company products within the territory. Monitor industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand customer needs. Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries and sales calls. Follow-up on order status as needed. Understand customer needs and offer solutions. Communicate product features and answer questions. Upsell and cross-sell to increase purchase amounts. Address customer inquiries and complaints efficiently. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; college degree in marketing or related field is a plus. Skills and Experience
Sales experience is mandatory. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and detail-oriented. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of sales principles and customer service practices. Understanding of customer and market dynamics. Effective communication skills. Ability to multi-task and remain flexible. Enthusiastic and energetic with a customer-focused attitude. Availability to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Adherence to company policies and conduct standards. Reporting Structure
Reports to the Regional Sales Manager. No supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment
Travel within the territory; work outside a formal office environment. Occasional office work to cover absences. Benefits
