Overview
The College of Business invites applications for a
Career Engagement Manager
to play a key part in increasing student participation and promoting career-related services, resources, and events. The position works closely with students, employers, faculty, staff, and campus partners to strengthen career readiness efforts. This role reports to the Director of Career Readiness and Employer Relations. Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute employer fairs and networking events. Lead student engagement efforts that increase awareness of career development resources. Provide career readiness coaching and support. Coordinate, design, and facilitate employer engagement events such as career fairs, networking events, alumni panels, tabling activities, and guest speaker sessions to connect students with industry professionals in the College of Business. Collaborate with the Director of Career Readiness and Employer Relations, COB faculty, GSSC Team, and student groups to plan and execute employer-focused events and student engagement activities to promote career readiness. Maintain and manage various software platforms (Handshake, HubSpot, Canva, Navigate, GrizHub, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite). Track and report engagement metrics, including student participation, event attendance, career team appointments, and post-event outcomes across all career-related activities to demonstrate program impact. Collaborate with campus partners and student organizations to deliver programming that supports student career readiness. Provide student coaching on a range of career development topics (resumes, cover letters, internships, interview preparation, job search strategies) through individual appointments or drop-in services. Regularly meet with the Director of Career Readiness and Employer Relations to align on student and employer engagement efforts, program planning, and department priorities. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience coordinating events or programs. Experience in one or more of: customer engagement, career development, recruiting, human resources, corporate development, or professional development/training. Ability to create and edit promotional materials (flyers, social media posts, Canva designs) to support event marketing and career development resources. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to handle confidential information. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications (Microsoft Office Suite). Strong commitment to student success and high-quality customer service. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution. Two years of experience coordinating events or programs. Familiarity with corporate networking or professional relationship-building. Involvement in planning or supporting events. Background working with college students or student-focused roles. Awareness of employer engagement or university recruiting environments. Additional Information
Position Number: 051470 Compensation Title: Employment Services Coordinator I Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, 12 months/year. Probationary Period: Six (6) months minimum Benefits Include: Insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, and wellness program.
