Overview
Account Executive - Commercial Lines Insurance - Agriculture at Alliant Insurance Services. Acts as the broker on assigned accounts, including servicing and/or solicitation activities. Manages book of business and directs the work of a service team. Responsible for managing and directing new business opportunities, all aspects of service including Claims, loss control and retention of clients and market-facing representation to insurance carriers and vendors. Responsibilities
Receives and develops new business leads from Producers or identifies and develops cross-selling opportunities. Leads renewal strategy for accounts or approaches for new business. Manages overall account responsibility for all client needs and coordinates broker services including Claims and Loss Control. Leads delegation for account team responsibilities for Client Renewal services—renewal strategy, submission, brokering, placing, presenting proposals. Maintains market-facing responsibilities with broad knowledge of the insurance industry, carriers, and major underwriting contacts in the assigned territory. Provides day-to-day account servicing and guidance to the account service team on complex matters. Performs monthly reviews of account currency and client statements; resolves outstanding payables in a timely fashion. Attends industry and carrier events and stays current on industry trends for the assigned sector. Serves as a technical expert in the office and trains less experienced service team members. Provides mentoring and coaching to other offices as needed; ensures the service team stays on task for deliverables. Ensures data integrity in the agency management system and maintains complete and accurate information. Performs all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; twelve (12) or more years of related work experience. Risk management, underwriting, or other significant insurance-related background; valid Insurance License; continuing education requirements for license renewal. Skills: Superior verbal and written communication; strong problem solving and time management; ability to lead and direct an assigned service team; cross-functional collaboration; broad business acumen to understand client business in relation to insurance; high level of technical insurance knowledge; highly detailed and organized with strong prioritization; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
