FPGA Engineer – Develop Next- Space Hardware Systems!

Overview We are seeking a motivated FPGA Engineer to join a fast-growing engineering team building advanced electronic systems for space-based communication payloads. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing FPGA-based solutions that power mission-critical RF and digital subsystems. This is a hands-on opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where engineers take full ownership of their designs, from concept and simulation through integration and delivery. Youers collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, contribute to groundbreaking programs, and gain exposure to the complete product lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and verify FPGA-based digital designs for communication and RF systems.
Develop VHDL/Verilog code, simulation testbenches, and synthesis scripts.
Perform timing closure, resource optimization, and design verification.
Collaborate with RF, hardware, and systems engineers to integrate FPGA designs into larger subsystems.
Support system-level bring-up, debugging, and testing in lab environments.
Generate design documentation including schematics, interface control documents, and verification reports.
Participate in reviews, provide technical feedback, and contribute to design improvements.
Support full product lifecycle from proposal and architecture through production and delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years of FPGA design and development experience.
Strong background in VHDL/Verilog and FPGA toolchains (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Microsemi).
Proficiency with simulation and verification tools (ModelSim, QuestaSim, etc.).
Experience with timing analysis, constraint definition, and resource utilization.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Experience
Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Experience with high-speed digital interfaces (SERDES, DDR, LVDS, JESD204, etc.).
Familiarity with RF/digital integration and mixed-signal system considerations.
Hands-on lab experience debugging FPGA designs with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
Previous exposure to space or aerospace hardware development.
Knowledge of scripting (Python, TCL, MATLAB) for test automation and verification.
