Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will contribute high-level technical deliverables during the manufacturing engineering phase, including production documentation and industrial validation processes. The role involves reviewing complex 2D drawings and 3D models of components and systems for manufacturability and ensuring the implementation of lean principles to enhance site production performance.
Responsibilities
Provide technical deliverables during the manufacturing engineering phase, such as production documentation and industrial validation processes. Review complex 2D drawings and 3D models of components and systems for manufacturability. Utilize lean principles to positively impact site production performance. Assist in creating process flow diagrams and supporting manufacturing flow processes. Engage in root cause and corrective action analysis (RCCA) to improve manufacturing processes.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in manufacturing engineering and manufacturing processes. Experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies. A minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing engineering. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles. Experience in assembly work of electro-mechanical components, preferably in aerospace, but open to automotive or process engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background in aerospace preferred, but automotive, industrial, or any manufacturing industry is acceptable. Self-motivated individuals who can work independently without needing constant direction. Experience with 5S and creating process flow diagrams.
Work Environment
The work environment involves engaging in assembly work of electro-mechanical components, with a focus on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. The role requires self-motivated individuals who can thrive independently while contributing to manufacturing flow processes. The engineer will work in an environment that values efficiency and process improvement, utilizing tools such as Lean Six Sigma and 5S.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
