Responsibilities
Lead design and delivery of civil engineering projects at airports including runways, taxiways, aprons, grading, drainage, and access roadways Serve as Engineer of Record on aviation infrastructure projects Oversee and review construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports Coordinate project scope, schedule, budget, and resources with internal and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with FAA Advisory Circulars, TxDOT Aviation guidelines, and local regulations Mentor and support junior engineers, EITs, and CAD designers Lead coordination with clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors Support business development efforts such as proposals and interviews Conduct site visits and provide construction administration support Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Professional engineer license (PE) Minimum 7 years of civil engineering experience Knowledge of FAA and TxDOT Aviation standards and processes Familiarity with FAA AIP funding Experience with software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D Ability to lead project design start to finish, considering time, cost and resources Possess strategic and effective delegation skills Knowledge of environmental regulations and workplace safety regulations
