MDA is seeking a Staff SEIT Lead Systems Engineer based out of Linthicum, MD or Annapolis Junction. Roles And Responsibilities
Work closely with ASIC, FPGA, digital, and analog hardware engineers utilizing knowledge of systems engineering methods, tools and techniques Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle, focusing on trade studies, white papers, analysis of alternatives (AoA), and Risk Reduction activities (RR) Operate in a team environment and collaborate across multifunctional teams to develop innovative solutions Support close-out program reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, peer reviews, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews, etc.) Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements Manage vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle Collect, manage, and report program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and dependencies in the program schedule Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline This position is contingent on Clearance. This position will serve on-site in Linthicum/ Annapolis Junction, MD. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree or higher in a STEM discipline with 12 years of related experience, or 10 years with a Master\'s Degree, or 8 years with a PhD Experience facilitating internal and customer collaboration to capture and enhance engineering artifacts Demonstrated knowledge of Hardware/Software/Digital design and engineering through full product life cycle Demonstrated experience in mission operations, requirements management, system architecture development, and CONOPs Demonstrated Backlog Planning and Management Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle focusing on trade studies, AoA, and RR Experience managing risk, opportunity, core engineering work products, and program dependencies in the program schedule Experience coordinating between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity of the program baseline Experience evaluating future and planning the transitioning technology at the sub-systems for Engineering Manufacturing & Development (EMD) U.S. Citizenship required Active clearance per customer requirements Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields Experience in digital logic design for FPGA or ASIC, including simulation and verification Experience with ASIC specification generation and verification Multidisciplinary engineering exposure and strong cross-functional communication Experience leading technical teams Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML) experience Earned Value Management knowledge Experience with Integrated Master Plan and IMS for complex systems of systems Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph Salary and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $163,200.00 - $256,400.00. The salary range represents a general guideline; actual offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
