Staff Piping Designer

— join our Plant Design team to help prepare studies, sketches, drawings, and models of equipment arrangements and piping layouts. C&I is a full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits. The base pay range for this role is
$51.75/hr - $67.00/hr . Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
Developing equipment arrangements utilizing vendor data and design criteria.
Creating piping layouts and 3D models for complex systems independently using P&ID's, pipe specs, EAs, and vendor data, with knowledge of Best Piping Practice/Industry Standards, regulatory standards, codes, and design criteria.
Gathering field information and developing field sketches; field work at the plant requiring climbing, walking, and exposure to adverse weather conditions.
Leading small-sized projects (2-3 person teams) to meet project objectives: schedules, budgets, and quality.
Developing piping design scopes, effort hour estimates, resource-loaded schedules, vendor print reviews, and inter-discipline coordination.
Meeting education/experience requirements: either a 2-year technical degree with CAD specialization and minimum 15 years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program with 13 years of relevant experience.
Travel domestically or internationally to offices, vendor shops, and project sites up to 10%.
Complying with drug-free workplace requirements and obtaining a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) as needed, including background checks.
Performing work in a safe manner in accordance with C&I and client requirements.
Maintaining a valid Driver’s License.
Qualifications
AutoCAD & CADWorx proficiency with experience in laser scanning.
Primary experience in Refinery & Petro/Chemical Industries.

Optional 4-day work weeks are available.
Salaried employees are paid straight time for hours worked over 40.
