We are seeking a
Academic Program Administrator. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Manages all BMB academic programs, recruitment activities, orientation, the course scheduling system, student handbook, and other student related databases. Maintains comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all departmental academic program's requirements, distinction, and complexities. In consultation with the Director of Academics, handles student application process for admittance into BMB academic programs, responds to applicant inquiries, regularly communicates with applicants, and maintains admissions data. Participates on relevant committees within the department, the school, and the University. In collaboration with Director of Academics and department chair, works to develop prospectus, student handbooks and orientation-related materials. In consultation with the Director of Academics, contributes to budget projections and accounting for stipends and other expenditures. Interfaces with financial aid and other student services. Monitors Ph.D. budget and expenditures. Regularly reports budget standing to Director of Academics. In collaboration with the Director of Academics, develops enrollment projections and reports on enrollment trends. Makes recommendations on projections. Advises and assists students with academic, financial, and administrative concerns. In consultation with the Director of Academics, manages courses database; coordinates and facilitates course development process. Serves as the primary point of contact for the course evaluation process from deployment, managing changes, and sharing reports. Represents the program in administrative matters. May include issues pertaining to space, facilities, technology, student information system, classroom support. May independently manage specific program activities. Engages with external network of schools, associations, and organizations as required. Develops various program reports (budget and non-budget) and runs reports from SOPHAS under the direction of program director(s) and or chair. Communicates with department and external partners to share information and resolve issues with the offices of the Registrar, Financial Aid, Academic Standards Committee, Student Affairs, Admissions, and Office of International Services. Contributes to ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. Three years progressively responsible experience in program administration in an academic environment. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional experience may substitute for required education to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Classified Title: Academic Program Administrator Role/Level/Range: ACRP/03/MC Starting Salary Range: $46,560-$64,100-$81,650 Annually (Commensurate with experience) Employee group: Full Time Schedule: 8:30am-5pm Exempt Status: Exempt Location: Hybrid/School of Public Health Department name: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Personnel area: School of Public Health Total Rewards The referenced salary range is based on Johns Hopkins University’s good faith belief at the time of posting.
