Overview
Director of Engineering - Hotel Indigo LES follows to oversee the engineering/maintenance of the hotel and ensure the safety and comfort of hotel guests and team members, delivering all activities safely and with compliance. Motivating and training the team with the skills to keep hotels always looking their best. Responsibilities
Direct daily engineering needs, plan and assign work, ensuring the right team is in place. Develop the team and improve performance through coaching and feedback; set performance and development goals for colleagues and recognize good performance. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Communicate with all hotel department heads to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests. Manage maintenance programs to keep the hotel in service for guests and address maintenance issues promptly. Oversee physical operations including maintenance and repair; order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining green initiatives. May be responsible for hotel security to minimize risk of theft, crime and other hazards. Complete ad-hoc duties as required to complete tasks efficiently. Accountabilities
Supervises a staff of maintenance/engineering tradespersons and contractors. Key Skills & Experiences
Some college or advanced vocational training Four years’ experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or equivalent combination of education and experience Specialized expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificate, licensed plumber and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter may be required Hotel experience preferred Union environment preferred Professional certification and license if required by law Salary Range:
