About The Role
MWH is currently seeking an
Electrical Engineer
to support the construction of a Water Treatment Plant located in the greater Portland, OR. This project will be the first of its kind in, and ultimately supplying 135 million gallons of water a day to the Portland community. This position is a great opportunity to be a part of a historic infrastructure and filtration.
Essential Functions:
Overseeing electrical installations. Supervise the installation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations. Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure the timely and accurate installation of electrical infrastructure, resolving on-site issues as they arise. Implement quality control measures for electrical systems to meet performance standards and ensure that all equipment operates reliably. Ensure that all electrical systems meet local, state, and federal codes, as well as secure necessary permits for electrical work. Conduct safety assessments and ensure that all electrical work adheres to Testing and Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems, verifying their functionality and performance before project handover. Working on electrical systems and equipment. Developing specifications and performance requirements. Conducting tests and inspections to evaluate the performance of electrical components. Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Troubleshooting electrical issues and proposing effective solutions. Keeping up to date with advancements in the field of electrical engineering.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design, and power distribution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations. Water or Wastewater Construction experience preferred
