Overview
Hazen is seeking candidates for a Sr. Associate position focused on structural and waterways engineering and project management. The candidate will be involved with a wide range of projects to include planning, design, permitting, and construction of structures in the water space (drinking water, wastewater, water resources, conveyance, canals and ports). The candidate shall be capable of supervising junior staff and managing projects, and lead business development activities including preparation of proposals and presentations. Responsibilities
Project Management Technical Engineering Leadership Business Development Staff Development Minimum Qualifications
More than 15 years of structural design experience. A Professional Engineering (PE) license, or ability to obtain such, in the State of New York is required. (Note: multiple state registrations are not specified.) Experience in the analysis, design, and construction of environmental structures such as industrial buildings, pump stations, process basins, and treatment facilities. The selected individual will lead the structural design and construction administration responsibilities for major projects usually involving upgrades to wastewater, drinking water and reclaimed water treatment plants. Experience in the design and construction of structural steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, and aluminum, with knowledge of applicable building codes and design standards including ACI, AISC, ASCE, and structural analysis/design software. Effective communication skills and ability to work successfully in a multi-discipline team environment. Will play a key role in significant infrastructure projects in the greater Buffalo area. BS degree in Civil Engineering (with a Structural Concentration) or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution Benefits
