We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Southeast Water/Wastewater/Water Resource team in Atlanta, GA. This role involves providing engineering, design, and consulting services, working independently and in multi-disciplinary teams to develop concepts, create preliminary and detailed designs, support construction, and conduct on-site inspections. Provide planning, consulting, design, and construction services for municipal, federal, industrial, and other clients in water, wastewater, and water resources Prepare detailed structural design drawings and construction specifications Coordinate structural work with architectural, civil, process, mechanical, and electrical engineering staff Conduct condition assessments for existing buildings and structures Participate in planning, cost development, management, and scheduling for assigned projects Utilize bespoke structural analysis software and apply fundamental structural engineering principles, theories, concepts, and industry standards Collaborate with senior SMEs in Atlanta and offices nationwide Qualifications
B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline 5+ years of experience as a structural engineer, preferably in Water/Wastewater/Water Resources Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia with ability to obtain licenses in other states Experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 350, AISC) Knowledge of wind and seismic design principles and applicable provisions of the building code Experience working in a multidisciplinary project team Strong written and verbal communication skills Ideally, you’ll also have Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering Desire to pursue Structural Engineer (SE) license in Georgia Experience with STAAD Pro, TEDDS, RAM, Autodesk Revit, MicroStation, Mathcad, Bluebeam, and/or BIM Benefits and compensation information
