Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design, analysis, and documentation of electrical systems for microgrids, mobile power generation, power distribution, and renewable energy equipment. This role may include on-site commissioning and troubleshooting. Our client provides mobile turnkey power generation and distribution solutions, helping clients lower costs through increased efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, and optimized power load management. Responsibilities

Design and review medium- and low-voltage power generation, distribution, and microgrid systems. Conduct electrical system studies—including Short Circuit, Arc Flash, Coordination, Load Flow, Harmonics, Fault, and Transient analyses—using ETAP software. Prepare technical documentation such as area classifications, single-line diagrams, grounding designs, BOMs, fugitive emissions studies, and detailed engineering reports. Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for all electrical systems. Provide engineering support and technical expertise to cross-functional teams. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 12 years of professional experience. Minimum 8 years designing medium-voltage power generation and distribution systems. At least 5 years conducting electrical studies with ETAP. Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IEEE, NEC, NFPA, API, etc.). Experience with power generation controls, automation systems, and programming digital multifunction relays. Skilled in developing relay logic, electrical protection, and coordination schemes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry advancements. Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience in electrical system design for oil & gas or mining industries. Hands-on experience with installation, operation, or troubleshooting of industrial automation systems.
