Perform site walks to review conditions, review construction contract documents, and coordinate with general contractor/owner to gather information to develop pricing and proposals and to design fire sprinkler and/or fire alarm systems Assess feasibility and system possibilities, prepare cost estimates, and present proposals that address customer life safety needs Determine customer needs by conducting site surveys and communicate WSFP capabilities Close sales to meet sales plan objectives Develop and maintain an active backlog of proposals and contracts Create detailed drawings using CAD software Procure materials required for projects Perform hydraulic calculations Develop initial project schedules Build positive, ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction Coordinate with other departments and field technicians for proper handover of job information Conduct long-range project planning and scheduling Monitor projects to meet safety, quality, productivity, and profitability requirements Work with field superintendents to manage field labor for maximum productivity Identify changes affecting cost, schedule, or labor; manage cost estimating for changes Process project billings and monitor outstanding invoices Monitor progress and ensure alignment with schedule and budget Forecast future manpower requirements Oversee work of subcontractors Report progress to owners and general contractors and address modifications as needed Ensure work complies with codes and permits Recommend improvements in company procedures and practices Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management or related field; Associates degree in technical or construction-related field Experience with CAD software Proven ability to perform work timely and meet deadlines Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Ability to coordinate and work in a team environment Positive, professional attitude and customer service skills Highly motivated and proactive Excellent written and verbal communication skills Previous construction industry experience preferred Must pass a background check and post-offer drug screening Valid driver’s license required Additional Details
