We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer in our New York City office.

Responsibilities
Serve as Structural Engineer or Project Engineer on major projects Prepare detailed plans and construction documents for assigned tasks Perform engineering calculations to support the detailed plans and construction documents developed Develop contract specifications and bid documents, as well as technical report writing Conduct occasional field site visits Coordinate various disciplines and payment items within the construction documents Provide mentoring and training to junior staff Attend internal project meetings and contribute information as requested by management, effectively communicating with project managers Requirements
BS in Civil Engineering required; MS preferred PE License required (preferably in NY) A minimum of five to ten years of Structural Engineering experience with a focus on bridge design Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production of bridge projects following Federal and State code Bridge rating experience Ability to work effectively as part of a design team Experience in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD; required experience with current FEM modeling software Experience with local client base preferable (NYSDOT, NYCDOT, PANYNJ) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Benefits
