In this role, you will be part of the
Mechanical team , working on
Hospitality HVAC Design projects
in the Miami (Coral Gables) or Fort Lauderdale, FL office. What a day at EXP has in store for you
Perform hands-on CAD work using AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit platforms Conduct heating and cooling load calculations with industry software (Trace, Energy Pro, DOE) Select and schedule equipment under senior staff oversight Layout air and water systems on working drawings Understand fan and pump curves for proper equipment selection Communicate with equipment vendors to determine application requirements Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovations Coordinate with other disciplines (MEP, FP, arch, structural) for HVAC details Maintain the Engineering Calculation Book for projects Manage work planning and the design process within available hours Apply knowledge of constant and variable flow systems appropriately What your experience looks like
4+ years in designing HVAC systems for aviation, transit, and commercial buildings, or recent graduates with internship experience in HVAC construction projects, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing Bachelor’s degree in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP Strong written and verbal communication skills EIT certification preferred; working towards PE is a plus
