Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering

Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:
As the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, you will provide strategic leadership for the Manufacturing Engineering function, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and innovation. You will lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers, partner cross-functionally with senior leaders, and drive scalable processes that enable world-class product quality, efficiency, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Lead sustaining functions for CNC Programming and Machining, Clean and Sterile Pack, Coating department, Metal Finishing, and Distribution
Maintain capacity planning models in all key processes
Align departmental objectives with business priorities and track performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Manage resources and priorities across multiple projects to support production and new product launches.
Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and other applicable global regulations and standards.
Partner with R&D, Operations, and leadership to integrate manufacturing input into product design and development.
Drive process development, prototyping, validation testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes using lean principles and data-driven methods.
Build and manage vendor/supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost effectiveness, and scalability.
Oversee departmental budgets, capital planning, and equipment maintenance schedules.

Minimum Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, or related); Master's preferred.
Strong experience in CNC Programming, CNC Machining, and Additive Manufacturing
7 years of progressive engineering experience; 5+ years leading teams.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
Solid foundation in advanced engineering, mathematics, and physics.
Desired Characteristics
Solid foundation in advanced engineering, mathematics, and physics.
In-depth knowledge of medical device regulations, including FDA (21CFR820), ISO 13485, MDD, CMDR.
Excellent communication skills - able to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
Expertise in lean manufacturing principles and process improvement.
