Overview
Arcticom, LLC, a company within the BSNC family, is seeking a qualified Senior System Engineer for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) Engineering and Logistics Contract at Quantico, VA. The Senior System Engineer will support the USMC GBAD portfolio. Responsibilities
Development and validation of communication and network architectures Deploy and configure Command and Control (C2) networks in test, training, and operational settings Development and validation of test procedures for assessment and reporting Development of network architectures and diagrams of systems on the move, including operation of networks via tactical radios Preparation of documentation for planning, testing, and reporting of systems under test Identify potential risks to systems under test and provide recommendations to mitigate risks to schedule and cost Provide over-the-phone troubleshooting support, resolving and communicating networking issues to other employees and DoD clients Qualifications – Experience, Education and Certification
At least 8+ years’ experience supporting networking for DoD Command and Control Systems such as MSCT, CAC2S, ADSI, or TBMCS STEM-related bachelor’s degree (math, engineering, statistics, physics, etc.) Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and MS Project Cisco Certified Network Administrator Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance Experience with modern information systems (hardware, data storage, network, distributed systems) Experience deploying networks using VLANs, spanning tree, and multicast video Experience with EKMS and management of CCI Experience with tactical networking RF waveforms such as ANW2 and TSM Experience in spectrum and cryptographic planning and coordination Experience designing and deploying networks Experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) systems Experience in Spectrum Management for DoD communications systems Preferred
CompTIA Security+, CISSP or equivalent ACQ 1010 – Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management (required within 6 months after hire) TST 1100 – Intro to Systems Engineering for Testers (required within 9 months after hire) CLE 001 – Value Engineering (desired) RAM 104 – Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) (desired) PMT 0170 – Risk Management (desired) Necessary Physical Requirements
Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods; most time is spent sitting with opportunity to move about. Safety and Clearance Requirements
