Leidos is seeking a CAD Data Manager to join a diverse team to create solutions for complex problems. The role involves managing CAD data and configuration information across product lifecycles, ensuring data integrity, and supporting engineering and manufacturing teams. Primary Responsibilities
The CAD Data Manager is responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system. Duties include system, model and drawing data correctness and integrity, ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations for data created from internal projects or supplied by the customer. Work independently to develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines. Provide project support in creating/reviewing contents of CAD models and their constituent parts, item records, change records and other items in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. Execute Configuration and Data Management processes and controls; ensure company policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements. Write and maintain documents such as DM corporate policies, Data Management plans, Project Configuration Forms, desktop instructions, DM work instructions, audit forms and enact requirements of program Access Control lists. Oversee DM team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches. Support tasks in a dynamic environment, working closely with CM/DM, engineering, manufacturing, quality, other teams, and the customer and/or external contacts to support products throughout their lifecycle. Work on site for a minimum of 4+ days a week. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of relevant experience. Resident of the North Alabama area or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area. US Citizenship is required, and the position requires active secret security clearance. Detailed knowledge and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques of the technical domain and develop solutions to complex issues across multiple areas or disciplines. Detailed knowledge and experience in configuration change management principles and record types. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, software and other CM practices as detailed in SAE EIA-649 series, ASME Y14 series, ISO 9001, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-HDBK-61, DODM 5200.01 series, DODI 5200.48, etc. Detailed knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (e.g., Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, Siemens Teamcenter, Aras). Detailed knowledge of bills of materials, technical documents, product drawings, schematics, diagrams and specifications. Proficiency with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as CREO, SolidWorks, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Visio a plus). Proficiency in Adobe PDF editing software or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint collaboration software. Ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment with multi-disciplinary teams, customer representatives and external contacts. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
