Senior Level Mechanical Engineer Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities: At POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, the Facilities Division seeks a Senior Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Boise, Idaho; Madison, Wisconsin; or Overland Park, Kansas location. The Facilities Division specializes in Food & Beverage, Federal, and Industrial facility design. We are responsible leaders with a focus on the future while providing functional and high-performing projects. Our goal is to deliver the best possible projects and experience for our clients, users, and communities. We do this through the integration of responsible design that includes new buildings, remodels, and additions, as well as studies and evaluations of existing systems. A major component of our work is providing engineering services to help our clients change and adapt their facilities and systems to meet their evolving goals. Required Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering PE License 15+ years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and utility piping design, capable of performing work requiring independent judgment, knowledge of engineering principles, procedures, and code requirements Ability to work with and support junior engineers Capable of self-performing all mechanical engineering tasks associated with projects, including proposal, design, drafting, calculations, cost estimation, and client reviews Ability to mentor junior or entry-level Mechanical Engineers Solid foundation in design and drafting using AutoCAD or Revit software Knowledge of mechanical systems such as heating and chilled water (hydronics), steam, compressed air, refrigeration, natural gas, and high-pressure water Adaptable, problem-solving skills, ability to learn and apply new technologies with minimal support Good oral and written communication skills for working with cross-disciplinary teams and clients Self-management and results-oriented mindset Desired Education/Experience: Experience with Autodesk Revit, MEP, and/or Plant 3D Membership in ASHRAE and IIAR (International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration) POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm and one of the top design firms in the energy sector.
