Amentum . We are seeking an Electrician for our client site in La Jolla, CA. HIRING SALARY RANGE: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour (Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data). Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with potential for varied hours based on business demand. Responsibilities
Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, operates, calibrates, dismantles, and repairs all types of electrical equipment. Maintains and controls the electrical distribution system to provide a reliable source of electricity to all areas. May serve as maintenance advisor to engineering in material selection, documentation, calibration, testing and problem-solving methodology, project scope and follow up. Maintains electrical systems from 50-volt instrumentation to complex boiler and chiller controls with voltages up to 600 volts; oversees site-wide distribution systems. Performs preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and distribution systems. Infrared thermography scanning of sites electrical gear; uses test equipment to test motors, control circuits, motor drives, UPS systems, batteries, grounding, isolated power, ground-fault circuits/outlets, voltage, and other load conditions. Inspects and performs safety tests on lighting/outlet circuits, generators, motors, appliances, tools, etc.; ensures circuits are properly protected and systems are installed in accordance with NEC and regulatory requirements. Coordinates work with outside contractors and performs preventive/predictive maintenance in CMMS. Responds to and provides service and feedback to the customer on work orders; recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. Enforces safety regulations and uses proper PPE; follows job hazard analyses and lockout/tagout procedures. Operates a variety of tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work. Demonstrates flexibility in day-to-day activities to benefit the customer. Other duties as assigned by Management or Lead. As the Facilities Electrician you will be expected to

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint. Ability to communicate clearly via phone and in writing; work closely with customers during site emergencies. Accurately document electronic and paper information to provide data to customers or regulatory personnel. Strive for quick issue resolution and minimize escalations through operational knowledge. Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent. 5 years of experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or research & development facility maintenance. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, refrigeration, and more in a highly regulated environment. Strong mechanical skills. Ability to identify and correct safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations. Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and to complete a fit test for respirators. Ability to obtain a security access badge at the client site. Ability to read and understand various documents; proficient with Microsoft products. Ability to obtain a driver’s license as required. Must obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization; US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. Physical/Special Requirements
Regularly lift up to 50 lbs; climb ladders, stairs and scaffolding; perform repetitive motions. Walk extensively; work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions. Differentiate wire colors; wear safety gear as required. Cope with job-related stress; perform duties safely. Preferred Requirements
Technical degree. Experience in GMP or similar regulated environments (hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses). Ability to read repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematics. Experience with heavy industrial steam systems, chillers, AHUs, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation. Experience using CMMS; EAMS experience a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Employer Information
