Electrical Project Engineer – Mission Critical Facilities role at Stantec. The MCF Electrical Project Designer/Engineer performs technical duties under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager, understands project requirements, and executes and guides design work within one’s discipline to meet client needs and expectations. The MCF Electrical Project Designer/Engineer performs technical duties under supervision, identifies project requirements, and performs independent technical work on basic and advanced tasks within one’s own discipline. Provides guidance to Designers on completion of duties. The role supports quality throughout the design process and collaborates with other disciplines to meet client requests. Responsibilities

Develops advanced systems designs within own discipline with limited supervision. Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate. Prepares project deliverables (drawings, specifications, reports, etc.) per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal. Assists in the evaluation and selection of electrical equipment. Coordinates with all disciplines to fully integrate work and client requests into design. Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer. Reviews shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs, prepares site observation reports and punch lists, attends project coordination meetings, and performs other CA tasks. Assists the Senior Project Engineer on project-related tasks. Serves as the electrical lead on projects as directed by the Project Manager. Actively participates in the data center engineering/professional community for ongoing growth. Supports and assists staff education, training, and development. Capabilities and Credentials

Advanced knowledge of engineering practices, concepts, principles, codes, and standards in own discipline; basic knowledge of other disciplines. Able to conceptualize basic building systems within own discipline and interactions with varied components. Comprehensive knowledge of nomenclature, design techniques, materials, and construction techniques related to engineering systems. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, specifications, procedures, and regulations. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud. Working knowledge or proficiency in power systems software (e.g., SKM) and power cable ampacity software (e.g., CYME/CYMCAP) preferred. Strong communicator who conveys scope and coordination items to clients, vendors, and co-workers. Adept at writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Good organization and time management; ability to manage multiple priorities and be punctual and dependable. Education and Experience

Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum 4 years related industry experience required; data center experience preferred. Registered professional engineer (PE) license, or other professional certification, preferred. About Stantec

Pay ranges vary by location. For examples: Locations in MN, VT, and various CA, NY areas — Min $88,300; Max $128,000 Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD and various CA, NJ areas — Min $97,100; Max $140,800 Pay Transparency: Final compensation based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Some roles may be bonus eligible.
