Field Service Engineer Proton Therapy (Floater) – Atlanta, GA. This is an on-site role with responsibilities for field support of proton therapy equipment and related devices, including installation, upgrades, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning in customer environments. Join Siemens Healthineers to support patient treatment with proton therapy systems and to work within a team of site engineers, installation representatives, and subcontractors. This position may require coordinating activities, following safety policies, and complying with vendor credentialing and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

This role covers field support for system hardware, software, PCs, and wireless networking. Install and upgrade a wide range of complex products according to technical documentation and guidelines to ensure customer equipment operates efficiently. Provide on-site support for proton therapy equipment and ancillary devices; diagnose, troubleshoot, service, upgrade, repair, install, and commission complex equipment and systems. Check and approve the operational quality of system equipment. Instruct customers in operation and, where applicable, train on maintenance with on-site customer technical personnel. Serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects; clarify responsibilities for problem resolution between 2nd level support or management. Demonstrate equipment operation and specifications according to Customer Acceptance Procedures and Customer Technical Bulletins as required. Understand clinical routines to professionally support patient treatment; may coordinate and review activities of a small group of Installation Representatives and Subcontractors. Collaborate with other company resources to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and perform service activities; work within a compact team of site engineers. Fulfill special client requirements following company procedures and policies; perform preventive maintenance and upgrades as needed. Monitor system condition and escalate issues to site management or 2nd level support as needed; provide field service reports in Unity using defined standards. Adhere to all company instructions, requirements, and safety policies; maintain device history records and manage parts inventory and ordering for installations. During Installations and Upgrades: conduct Acceptance Condition testing so that installation conditions are met and customers can sign Acceptance Letters. Take a lead role when mentoring less experienced colleagues and share knowledge. Typical Education and Experience

Knowledge of subsystems including High Vacuum, Cryogenics and Superconducting Magnets, High Voltage/Current, AC/DC, RF Power Delivery, X-ray CT, Industrial Robotics and Motion Control, PLC Controls, and Radiation Dosimetry. Semi-routine assignments with occasional deviation from standard practices; minimal supervision on daily duties and new assignments. High School Degree or equivalent; 2–3 years of related experience. Proficiency with software, IT system operation principles, and Microsoft Office; customer-focused with strong interpersonal communication; fluent in English. Completion of Varian training classes and a training plan for assigned responsibilities; compliance in good standing. Proficient in operating radiation-producing equipment and handling radioactive materials. Other Desired Skills And Knowledge

Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP/PDM; experience servicing or manufacturing medical devices with ISO13485 conformance. Knowledge of local language; ability to work cross-functionally and across systems. Ability to establish and maintain a network to 2nd level support teams. Special Job Requirements

Vendor credentialing requirements for client access; emergency on-site service when required; rotating three-shift system including holidays/weekends. Flexible hours; work in radiation-controlled areas; exposure to radiation hazards; ability to access confined spaces and work at heights; travel up to 75%, including international travel. Notes
