Senior Mechanical Engineer at WSP in the U.S. Location: Orlando, FL. This role focuses on complex sector work such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, labs, and commercial high-rise projects from the design phase through the final construction close-out. Lead and manage the mechanical design on multiple projects Interface with clients, attend client meetings, and represent the team at project meetings Participate in the full project cycle from design through construction close-out Provide technical expertise for mechanical systems including air distribution, hydronic systems, automatic temperature controls, and load calculations Construction administration, project management, and quality control of project designs and documentation Prepare technical reports, specifications, project budgets, and monitor time/schedule deadlines Plan and obtain additional work authorizations as required for scope changes Ensure profitability and accountability for projects managed Schedule and select major equipment Collaborate with team members and professionals to execute project work on multiple concurrent projects Comply with regulatory requirements for data integrity, documentation, procedures, training, monitoring, and retention Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior mechanical design experience Engineer in Training Certification Project experience with buildings from design through final construction close-out Experience with HVAC design and automatic temperature controls for a broad range of commercial systems Excellent communication and engineering skills to work with clients on different system types Hands-on knowledge and experience with Revit and AutoCAD Proven track record of safety and adherence to health, safety, and harassment policies Ability to work schedules conducive to project requirements, including potential extended weeks Occasional travel may be required Proficient with mechanical engineering principles and their application to project work Preferred Qualifications

Experience in complex sectors such as healthcare and/or labs Active participation in local professional practice organizations Experience with AHCA Essential professional licensure/certification Experience managing small to mid-size projects 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) preferred Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired About WSP
