Overview
Job Title: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will assist in a wide range of complex cardiac and vascular procedures, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in compliance with hospital protocols. This role requires technical expertise, adaptability in high-pressure environments, and the ability to collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff. Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in a variety of cardiac and vascular surgeries, including but not limited to CABG, AVR, MVRR, TVRR, heart transplant, and minimally invasive procedures. Support both endovascular and open vascular procedures, including AAA and thoracic aneurysm repairs, as well as ECMO decannulation. Participate in on-call rotations, which may include up to two weekdays, two weekends per month, and holiday coverage as required. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, surgical standards, and patient safety protocols during all procedures. Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in handling procedures such as Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, and Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG). Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical team. Demonstrated ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a CVOR or related surgical setting (required). National certification through NBSTSA or NCCT (required). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required). Open to first-time applicants with relevant training and certification. Willingness to travel beyond a 100-mile radius from the facility as needed. Talent Staffing Services
