Overview

Excellent opportunity! This active hospital employed OB/Gyn practice seeks a BE/BC physician to add to their Southeast Michigan based practice location; the practice has a longstanding history of excellence in the community. You will be an employed physician, with knowledgeable practice management professionals assisting in day-to-day operations and access to the resources and referral base of the larger Corewell Health system. The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in the Medical Group is seeking a candidate to join an existing OB/Gyn practice aligned with the William Beaumont University Hospital Campus. The candidate must be able to provide a broad range of obstetrical and gynecological services. Ideal candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills for program building and exceptional communication skills to help expand the referral base and strengthen community ties.

Responsibilities

Develop and cultivate positive working relationships with Corewell Health personnel and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, compassion, collaboration, clarity, curiosity, and courage.

Demonstrate a commitment to service and distinctive, personalized care with internal and external customers, while striving to exceed expectations.

Assist in meeting operational, financial, and patient satisfaction goals.

Timely completion of competencies and annual organizational mandatories.

Assess and monitor the medical needs of patients.

Provide quality medical services in a cost-effective, appropriate manner and ensure coverage of caseload at all times.

Communicate with patients’ families, referring physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and other hospital departments regarding plan of care and treatment, including within 24 hours of admission for major changes and within 24 hours prior to discharge.

Document medical services in the patient’s medical record in compliance with hospital, payor, and regulatory standards.

Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as required by the Department.

Participate in value-based reimbursement programs and quality initiatives as required by the Department.

Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) / Quality Assurance (QA) and peer review activities as requested.

Assist in developing policies and procedures related to medical practice and quality patient care.

Participate in ongoing process improvement activities through clinical paths and related initiatives.

Support patient participation in clinical trials and research projects in line with Research Institute policies.

Provide oversight, teaching, and mentorship of fellows, residents, APPs, and students as appropriate, including collaboration with affiliated medical schools.

Un restricted License and DEA - Michigan MD/DO

Certification - BLS (Basic Life Support)
