It is home to the area’s only Level II trauma center, designated heart hospital, comprehensive cardiac, advanced neuroscience and orthopedic joint programs. HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is a certified comprehensive stroke center, certified chest pain center and is a Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation of Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. The Women’s & Children’s Center provides a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, high-risk obstetrics, a breast diagnostic center and is an accredited Mothers’ Milk Bank.
