Job Details
Travel assignment in Dallas, Texas. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to diagnose and treat medical conditions, operates imaging equipment, monitors patient safety, and ensures compliance with radiation safety standards.
Required Qualifications One year's experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech
Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications Current ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Essential Work Functions Educates patients about nuclear medicine procedures and addresses questions
Maintains and inspects nuclear medicine equipment, reports malfunctions, and ensures radiation safety compliance
Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and other medications per established protocols and safety standards
Monitors patients for adverse reactions and intervenes as necessary
Operates imaging equipment to create images per physician orders
Documents procedure details in patient records for continuity of care and regulatory compliance
Follows hospital safety rules and radiation safety procedures
Performs other duties within the scope of Nuclear Medicine Technologist practice
Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communications
English language proficiency
Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions; proficiency in PC skills
Physical abilities: ability to remain stationary, move equipment, push/pull, and bend
Interpersonal skills to work with a variety of personnel
Technical/motor skills for procedures and equipment handling
Mental requirements: ability to work under supervision when needed, handle deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
