6 Months + Must be licensed in the state of Florida. *The salary is determined by an individual\'s level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold. About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist for a contract opportunity at a clinical laboratory in Jacksonville, FL 32216. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering high-quality diagnostic testing. You will be responsible for performing moderate to highly complex clinical laboratory tests, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, and contributing to accurate patient diagnoses. Key Responsibilities
Perform moderate to high-complexity clinical tests independently Prepare reagents, media, and control solutions; evaluate new reagents as needed Determine specimen acceptability based on testing criteria Calculate and report test results using both manual and automated systems Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and performance checks Conduct and review quality control procedures; initiate corrective actions as necessary Supervise and train unlicensed staff in laboratory procedures Participate in team meetings, quality improvement efforts, and special projects Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Adhere to all safety, infection control, and environmental protocols Qualifications
