The Clinic Director (CD) is responsible for the overall performance and operations of the clinic. The Clinic Director manages staff performance, hires and recruits clinical staff to meet staffing expectations and clinical revenue needs, provides all training and ongoing developmental support, is accountable for meeting the clinic’s fiscal goals, develops and sustains relationships with referral partners, and provides ongoing administrative and clinical oversight. Leadership & Management
Oversee the hiring process for all therapists at the clinic. Provide training for clinic new hires, ensuring all Ellie Mental Health clinical and operational policies and procedures are taught and followed. Assess ongoing development and training needs; conduct ongoing training; host office hours and quarterly trainings. Ensure staffing levels meet patient demand. Hold staff compassionately accountable to meeting performance expectations. Manage staff performance, including implementing Performance Coaching, Performance Improvement Plans, and termination processes as needed. Manage basic clinic Human Resource tasks. Assist in running monthly all-staff meetings. Actively help recruit new therapists. Supervision & Consultation
Minimum interval for licensed providers: one hour once monthly; unlicensed providers: one hour twice monthly. Oversee twice-monthly peer consultation groups to ensure clinical excellence and alignment with best practices. Provide clinical oversight to clinic’s Mental Health Practitioners and Professionals, including signing clinical documentation for pre-licensed providers. Participate in CD Peer Consult Group. Conduct weekly consultations with CM (in clinics where applicable). Provide 1:1 consultation with all therapy staff to review productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation. Clinic Oversight & Quality of Care
Ensure daily operations run smoothly. Monitor patient care outcomes and satisfaction. Provide training, staff development, and administrative oversight to support clinic functioning, including signing clinical documentation for pre-licensed providers. Collaborate with franchise owner and Ellie Mental Health corporate staff to implement strategies for fiscal and clinical efficiency. Manage record requests and chart audits as needed. Monitor and manage clinic office schedules and office supplies. Provide timely responses to concerns raised by clients, clinicians, or external stakeholders. Serve as point of contact for building management issues or concerns. Patient Experience, Clinic Outreach & Networking
Oversee patient intake, scheduling, and follow-up processes to ensure smooth access to care. Foster a welcoming, stigma-free clinic environment. Spearhead clinic community outreach and engagement efforts in collaboration with the franchise owner and Ellie Corporate Outreach Team. Build community partners for referrals. Collaborate with Ellie Corporate Marketing Team to promote clinic’s online visibility. Represent clinic at community events or mental health fairs. Track market trends in mental health and suggest adaptations. Organizational Leadership
Collaborate with the franchise owner and Ellie Corporate Team to implement all required policies and procedures. Identify opportunities to improve client care, quality, and effectiveness, and implement changes with the franchise owner’s collaboration. Oversee scheduling systems to maximize access and minimize cancellations. Other Duties
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Master’s Degree or higher in a mental health discipline. Independently licensed with a Kansas-issued clinical practice license (e.g., LSCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC). Strong working knowledge of state requirements regulating mental health practice. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and executive skill sets. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures. Excellent time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and changing environment. Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications (Office Suite, Outlook, Teams). Adept at learning and navigating Electronic Health Record systems. Reporting & Supervision
