CORE is looking for a results-oriented Preconstruction Manager with experience in construction planning, estimating and project management to join our Florida PreCon team in our Fort Lauderdale office. This fast-paced department aims to provide professional preconstruction and virtual construction services for large-scale Commercial, K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare and Municipal projects. The PreConstruction Manager will provide comprehensive preconstruction services, including estimating, scheduling, value engineering, risk management, bid solicitation and subcontractor outreach/procurement on multiple large-scale commercial construction projects. This will involve collaboration with owners, architects, preconstruction team members and the Operations team. This individual will research market conditions, historical cost data, price building materials and labor, work on material quantifications and scopes, bid solicitations and schedule planning. He/she will also be expected to provide a detailed review of design plans and specifications on projects for a wide range of institutional clients. Responsibilities and requirements include: Minimum of three years of experience as part of a preconstruction, design or construction operations team Professional degree in construction management or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, architecture) is required Strong communications skills, both written and verbal Ability to review and understand drawings and specifications as well as constructability Basic understanding of construction project sequencing and scheduling Technology: Experience working with construction technology programs including Procore, CAD, Revit and Microsoft Project is required Preferred Experience with Sketchup, Bluebeam and Adobe Creative Suite Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods Must live within a commutable distance from Fort Lauderdale, Florida Expectations: Attention to detail, excellent communication (written and verbal), strong organizational skills, ability to interact as part of a team A valid Driver’s License This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.
